Healthwatch Doncaster attended the NHS birthday celebrations last Sunday at Woodfield Park, where we had an Operation game for people to get involved in, and giving information to local people, raising awareness about Healthwatch
Birthday celebrations
A 70-year-old from Branton did the honours, cutting the cake to signal the start of the NHS’ 70th birthday in Doncaster.
Alan Fiddler, who was born on the same day as the NHS – 5 July 1948 – went along to Woodfield Park, formerly St Catherine’s, off Tickhill Road, Balby, to join in the 70th celebrations with all of the NHS organisations who work across the borough.
Celebrating together
Nurses, doctors and other staff from Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (DCCG), Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) and Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) joined forces to mark the milestone and were joined by Rosie Winterton, MP.
